Tenuta Guado al Tasso is the Antinori family’s crown jewel on the Tuscan coast — a 1,000-hectare estate in Bolgheri, the appellation that gave the world Sassicaia and Ornellaia. This Vermentino is a deliberate act of terroir recovery: a revival of one of the indigenous varieties of the Tyrrhenian coast, recognized since the 1990s for its aromatic brilliance. Bolgheri’s unique microclimate — shaped by the estate’s coastal orientation and proximity to the sea — gives the wine its defining character: pronounced minerality, vivid freshness, and expressive aromatics that few Italian whites can match.
