From the dramatic cliffs of the Pelješac Peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast comes this expressive Plavac Mali — a grape with deep roots and a fascinating story. One of its parents is Tribidrag, better known to Americans as Zinfandel, and the family resemblance shows in the wine’s bold fruit character and rustic charm.
The Skaramuca family farms the largest vineyard in the prestigious Dingač appellation, widely considered the finest Plavac Mali site in all of Croatia. Only a handful of growers produce wine here, making each bottle a rare expression of this extreme, sun-drenched terroir. This 2024 is unoaked, letting the fruit take center stage — youthful, bright, and easygoing while still carrying that unmistakable Dalmatian rusticity.
