Se Busca Mezcal Joven is artisanal Oaxacan mezcal made from 100% agave espadín in San Juan del Río. “Joven” means young and unaged, so what you taste is the agave itself — bright, clear and unmasked by time in a barrel. It’s an honest introduction to mezcal and a satisfying pour for anyone who already loves the category.
The character comes straight from the way it’s made. The agave hearts are roasted in underground pits, crushed by a stone tahona, fermented naturally and distilled in copper pots — the time-honored process that gives mezcal its soul. In the glass you’ll find roasted agave and peppered citrus lifted by a gentle herbal smoke, with grilled-herb and mineral notes leading into a dry, lightly smoky finish.
At 40% ABV it’s balanced enough to enjoy neat or over a single large cube, sipped slowly to let the smoke and citrus unfold. It also brings real depth to cocktails — swap it into a margarita for a smoky twist, or build a mezcal Negroni. Pour it alongside spicy or savory food and the agave and pepper come alive.
