Description
Farmer-First Sonoma Cabernet from an Epic Vintage
Pied à Terre — “foot to earth” — is a philosophy as much as a label. This producer believes the farmer’s footprint is the best fertilizer and the most important sight in a vineyard: when the land is well-trodden, the vine will be well-tended. Their 2018 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon comes from one of California’s great recent vintages — cooler temperatures and a long growing season produced wines of exceptional structure and concentration without overripeness.
Winemaker Notes
Pied a Terre Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County 2018 750ml
2018 was the first “normal” vintage in many years — none of the climatic difficulties that complicated the previous decade. Moderate weather led to a long, smooth growing season, allowing grapes to ripen gracefully. The result: a Cabernet of great structure and concentration, true to Sonoma’s terroir.
