Description

From the fog-kissed “Deep End” of Anderson Valley, Bravium’s 2023 Pinot Noir is a textbook expression of cool-climate California — floral, complex, and hauntingly savory. Sourced from some of Mendocino County’s most storied vineyard sites, this is Pinot Noir at its most expressive.

  • Nose: Cherry cola, herbal tea, pennyroyal mint, rose petal, damp soil and cinnamon spice
  • Palate: Luscious cherry, berry patch and plum with velvet texture, medium acidity and chocolate notes
  • Finish: Saline, intriguingly savory and persistently long.

Vineyard & Terroir

  • Primary Source: Wiley Vineyard — established 1972, the first vineyard planted in the westernmost “Deep End” of Anderson Valley, just 9 miles from the Pacific Ocean
  • Vines: Multiple clones including 40-year-old Pommard vines rooted in sandstone soils
  • Additional Sources: Valley Foothills Vineyard (Philo) and Helluva Vineyard (Boonville) contributing floral notes and red fruit complexity
