Description
Exclusive cask bottling for BC Liquor stores. Distilled on October 9th, 1995 at the Macallan distillery and then purchased by A.D. Rattray. It was aged in a Bourbon Cask until une 2016 when the Bourbon cask was divided into two Octaves Cask and left aging on the Octave cask until June 26th, 2017, when it was bottled. Aromas of candied Brazillian nuts, figs, cured meats, bacon wrapped dates, smoked maple bacon, coupled with sweet notes of fresh honeycomb, tropical fruit and banana peel. Vanilla on the front palate gives way to notes of tropical fruit, pear, kumquats, orange zest. Layered with pralines, pecans, fudge, golden maple syrup. A viscous, and absolutely luxurious mouthfeel. Pure Macallan.
