Suyo Pisco is a premium Peruvian spirit that embodies the rich heritage and diverse terroirs of Peru’s pisco-producing regions. Founded by Peruvian-Americans Alex Hildebrandt and Ian Leggett, Suyo was born from a desire to showcase the unique expressions of pisco crafted by small, family-owned vineyards across Peru.
Each expression of Suyo Pisco is a testament to its origin. The Quebranta variety, sourced from the inland Fundo La Esperanza vineyard in the Mala Valley, offers soft notes of fruit compote and pecans, leading to a smooth finish with spicy undertones. In contrast, the Italia expression, distilled from grapes grown at the coastal Fundo Puente Viejo, presents tropical and citrus notes with hints of white flowers and bergamot orange, culminating in a velvety finish with mineral undertones.
Suyo Pisco’s production process adheres strictly to traditional methods. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation using wild yeast. The resulting wine is single-distilled in copper stills to proof, without any additives or dilution, and rested for a minimum of one year to allow flavors to harmonize.
