Barbancourt is Haiti’s most celebrated distillery and one of the Caribbean’s most storied rum houses, producing rhum agricole — rum made from fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses — since 1862. The Réserve Spéciale Five Star is the estate’s flagship expression: aged for a minimum of eight years in Limousin oak barrels, it is a rhum of extraordinary complexity, balance, and elegance that has earned 94 points from The Tasting Panel and a devoted following among rum connoisseurs worldwide. Made from 100% Haitian sugarcane, it is a genuine expression of terroir — a rum that could only come from Haiti.

The nose is superb and layered: honeyed wheat, ripe peach, vanilla, and pepper, with warm accents of chamomile, white pepper, and fig — like a warm summer sunset in a glass. On the palate, the rhum is powerful, mellow, and beautifully balanced — cinnamon-spiced baked apple, cooked prunes, citrus compote, and roasted notes that build to a long, complex, and warming finish.
